Back to work

Well, today was officially my first day back to work. I'm working for a new company, so this week is mostly training. I was done by 11am, so it wasn't too bad :) I had to leave so early, Levi took Noah over to "Mrs. Katie's." He did great and even got a cute little daily report that Katie made up and sent home in his bag. Here is what I think about going back to work...

First, I feel VERY grateful that I have been able to stay home for 4 and a half months with Noah. It has been a great time for me to learn the role of being a mom and take the time I need to figure things out. Second, I love my job and what I get to do and that also makes it so much easier to go back to work. I'm so glad I chose the career path I did and feel like it gives me lots of options as a mom. I am going to be working 2 days a week and setting my own schedule both of those days. Last, I feel SO blessed that we have available moms and a wonderful friend that will be watching after Noah. Katie will be watching him one day a week and Levi's mom will be watching him the other day. My mom is also going to take off of work and watch him once a month. I know he is in great hands and will never hesitate having to leave him. Once again, that makes this transition SO MUCH easier.

East Coast Trip

Last weekend Levi and I took a trip to the East coast for a few days. Our main destination was Portland, Maine, for Lauren Fuller's wedding. But along the way, we got to see Boston and visit one of Levi's friends in New Hampshire. What beautiful parts of the country!! Lauren got married on an island called Little Diamond Island. It was amazing, and she looked so beautiful! The best part of the trip - renting a car and driving from Boston to New Hampshire to Maine and back to Boston again. We had so much fun driving around and seeing everything. Although we somehow kept getting lost on the only 3 highways in that area, we always ended up where we needed to be. The second best part of the trip - sleeping in!!! What a great experience. Thank you to airline miles, cheap car rentals, and friends that open their house to guests!

We of course couldn't wait to get back to Noah. We knew he was in great hands the whole time, but we missed him a lot! Thank you to Granna and Niki and Cici and Papi for taking such good care of him.

Pajama Pals

Noah invited his friend Brooks over last night to watch the Cowboys game. It was a late game, so they were already ready for bed with their pajamas on. At the end of the night, and after a good game, Brooks told Noah he would see him later and gave him a sweet kiss on the face. They had a great time together and can't wait for the next game!

Future Soccer Player???

Levi says he wants to introduce all different types of sports to Noah. However...

That little soccer ball sure seems to turn up frequently :) Noah does seem to love it though! We will see...

Lil' Ag

Noah received TONS of A&M gear before he was born, and really hasn't had much of a chance to wear it. Most of it is 0-3 months, so I decided he needed to start wearing it before he outgrew everything. Saturday, we had an A&M day. He dressed up in a couple of his outfits and spent the day in them. He makes such a cute little Aggie! I can't wait to take him to a game soon.

Sweet Boys

Last Friday I got to watch our cute little nephew, Hudson, while his mommy worked. Usually, Granna has this job, but their schedules overlapped. So, I got to experience what it would be like to have 2 little ones under the age of 1. Between the 2, the day basically went like this: sleep, feed, diaper change, sleep, feed, diaper change...you get the picture. It was so much fun though. I don't see how Niki keeps Hudson, Jack and Sam and runs around with them all day. Much respect, Niki!! Here are some cute pics of the boys playing.
