Noah is learning new things each day. He is holding his head up, smiling, cooing, grasping, breaking out of his swaddle, and making mad faces at Mommy's kisses!

Noah and I survived our first week with Levi out of town. Levi didn't enjoy having to leave. He missed his wonderful wife (ha, ha) and now his little boy. But, we kept ourselves VERY busy. We visited Granna, Aunt Niki and Hudson at the beginning of the week, Aunt Kelly spent the night Tuesday and the girls from small group came over for dinner, we stayed at Cici and Papi's Wednesday and Kelly and I spent the last 2 days down at the lake. The week went by very fast since we stayed so busy. Friday evening, we all went to the airport to pick up Levi (even the dogs :)).

This week, we are taking it easy and trying to stick around the house more. I am going to read the book that Paige Walker talked about on her blog, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. So far, I love it. I can tell it is going to be a great book for us right now and to reference throughout childhood. Thanks Paige! Noah did sleep 8 hours through the night one time last week, but I think he was just teasing us because he hasn't done it since!

Shots :(

Today a mean lady stabbed Noah in his little legs 5 times with long needles :( Although we had loud screams, a red face, and tears for a few minutes, all those necessary shots will help keep Noah healthy throughout life. After looking at all the different vaccines and the schedule, this is only the beginning for those little thighs.

Noah weighed 10 lbs and 11 oz. and was 22 inches long. He's getting so big!!

Dedicated

On July 13, we had Noah baptized and dedicated to the Lord. It was our promise to raise him in a Christian home and to provide him the environment and the tools necessary for him to be able to make a decision about his faith later in life. It is my prayer that Noah will one day on his own accept Christ as his Savior and have an understanding of the amazing grace that has been given. Noah was baptized by the pastor that married Levi and me. He was also baptized alongside his cousin, Hudson. It was a wonderful day!

swim, swim, swim

Noah loves to swim. Okay, so he doesn't really know where he is or what he is doing, but he looks really cute is his suit and hat and fits perfectly in his little waverunner floaty. So far this summer, he has enjoyed swim dates with his friend Brooks and his cousin Hudson. He also got to go swimming at Marcy's house, but he mostly just layed in the shade that day.

Family

Levi and I both have amazing families. Our parents and siblings are major influences in our lives. Unlike so many in-laws, both of our families get along wonderfully and actually enjoy being around each other! Many times our dilemma of family holidays and how to share them is solved due to our families ability to get together and celebrate a holiday together. They have been very supportive, helpful, and accommodating with the birth of Noah. He has been born into the best family! Thank you!!

Well, after putting it off and giving excuses (it costs money), I finally joined the world of websites and blogging. Since this one is free, I have no more excuses. I will use this site to update family and friends about what is going on in our lives. Here's a little about us...

Levi and I got married on May 25, 2005. After almost 3 years of enjoying life together with just the two of us, we welcomed our first baby, a little boy named Noah, on May 14, 2008. Although life is definitely different now, he has been a wonderful blessing in our lives. Each day is new, with all kinds of changes and excitement. Hopefully this site can help document these memories and share them with those interested.
